Lighting the way home: Lights & Reflectors

Your bike will probably come with reflectors. But if not, you want to add them. And if there’s not enough, you’ll need to add reflectors to the wheels, the pedals, the back of your seat and the handlebars. This will ensure that you’re seen from all sides. Adding reflectors to your helmet, both front and back, is a stellar plan.

You also want to consider adding a bright light to the front of your bike to help you see, as well as a smaller light in back so you’re visible to drivers. It’s as if to say, “Hey, I’m riding here”, but nicely.
